Chrono Clash was created for the 2026 Ride Engineering Compeition. The compeition prompt was to create a 1:50 scale flat ride for Star Burst "riders". We created a dual pendulum flat ride with a retro space theme. We were tasked to design and fabricate the ride along with documentation on ASTM F2291, risk assesment, controls and mechcnical design and Factory Assesment Tests and Site Acceptance Tests.
Chrono Clash was CU Boulder's first team entry to the Ride Engineering Competition. Chrono Clash allowed the starburst riders to join in on an epic battle where the "Reapers" were fighting the "Keepers" for the control of time. I was a part of the theming and electrical team, I coded our day of compeition ride cycle and help design the theme and storyline for the ride.
