I was a part of CU Boulder's first team entry to the Ride Engineering Competition. Our ride was "Chrono Clash", a dual pendulum ride for starburst riders where the "Reapers" were in an epic battle against the "Keepers" for the control of time. I was a part of the theming and electrical team, where I got the chance to help code our ride cycle with our arduino and help design our graphics and theme for the ride. We used a separate power sources and two large DC motors. Overall, it is a great experience learning real world application and experience with ASTM standards. The project was a great experience in protoyping and fabrication. We are competing again this year where we will need to create a flat ride for jolly ranchers.
